Disable one-touch

I like everything about my used 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis except the one-touch window control. Is there any way to disable the one-touch feature?

Factory shop manual shows NO WAY to disable the "one-touch" feature.
I've lived with mine for several years -- not really a problem..
