How to disable DRL
#3
Thanks Mecka mate,
But sorry to ask, where can I find the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) as I don't have the car manual on me anymore and how to trace the signal wire?.
also for the 2nd option do u mean the trans sensor? and where can I also locate this?
TIA

If you're going to do this kind of work on your car you'll need a manual. I recomend a factory man. The pcm is on the firewall right behind the d/s wheel well. The trans. pos. sensor is attached on the d/s of trans where the linkage attaches but with no diagram that's kinda useless. I'll try & remember to look up the diagram tomorrow & see.

The DRL works through the lighting control module [LCM] & are actually the hi beam bulbs getting sent a lower intensity signal. I looked at the connector views to try & find a wire but didn't see one labeled DRL. I could send you the connector views of the trans sensor/LCM & you can see which circuits get voltage when you put it in drive at the TS & LCM. Just make sure if you cut a wire you do it so it can be spliced back if it doesn't work.
