Hello,

I recently replaced the heater core in a friends' 1999 (I think) Grand Marquis. Shortly after, she reported that her windshield wipers work fine, but when she turns them off, the stand straight up. Could have bumped a wire to cause this? Do I have to take the motor apart to repair it?

sounds like the second stop sensor in the motor has died and when the wipers go to "park", they go too far and don't stop when they should. You might be able to fix it with wiring... but I'm not sure about that. You'll probably have to replace the motor or controller or tear it all apart and fix the sensor.
