My 2001 grand marquis loses power and dies when I hit a puddle. Lights and everything quits and it dies. I will start right back up immediatly but is very dangerous in traffic.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Your best bet is to use a weak stream of water out of a hose and start spraying areas with the engine running. You should be able to duplicate the symptom. Having the lights go out as well, I would expect the problem to be near the battery somewhere. You could also try cleaning up all electrical connections from the battery towards the engine ground points.

 

Yet another first time post, run and hide. Got to stop wasting my time with these.
