97 to 03 front clip and rear
You would have to replace the whole front clip -- AND it may not "fit" to the earlier under-hood parts.
I don't know about that swap, Frank -- It's A LOT of work for a non-professional, and it really won't change your car's overall appearance to a great degree.
If you already have a front clip in your possession, it might be worth the time, money, and hassle to make it work.
If not, you may wanna modify what you have (the '97).
I wanted to do those same things to my '95 restoration, but the later headlights are too big to fit -- and the newer tail-lights wouldn't fit either.
I replaced the headlights, parking lights, and corner lights with new units, then stuffed ALL the lights with LED bulbs, and added "purple dots" to the tail-lights for a nostalgic effect.
The rear bumper was cut out to make a modern-style exhaust exit for the dual pipes.
