Good Afternoon:

I did not see a place to post on the Marquis so I hope it is OK to post on the Grand Marquis part. If it is not OK let me know and I will change it. I have a 78 Mercury Marquis and I have to replace the AC compressor. The clutch coils are in different positions. I need to know to determine the coil position if I am facing the car or do I sit in the drivers seat - facing the car my coil is in the 2 o'Clock position but if I am sitting in the drivers seat it is in the 10 o'clock position.

Will someone please help me with this as I want to order the compressor online.

Determine the position of the clutch coil by standing in front of the vehicle, with hood open.
