Default Air conditioner problems on MGM 2010

Hello,

I have a GM 2010 in Saudi Arabia. This particular model was imported from US back in 2011. For past couple of months I’ve been facing issues with the air conditioner-
1. I am unable to change temperature. It constantly blows cold air at the same temperature even if I change on A.c. unit.
2. On idle ac works fine but once I accelerate, it blows from the vents on top and bottom instead of the vents on the dash. And to make it worst, blows hot air when I accelerate.
3. December is pretty cold in the area where I am, my heating does not work as ac blows cold air at a fixed temperature. I want both heat and cold to work for winter/summer.

can someone please advise and help me? What am I looking for? What do I need to do?

Hello from Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A. --
The conditions that you describe are exactly those that are caused by a VACUUM LEAK -- indicated by the change when accelerating. .
The other possibility is the "Blend Door Actuator Motor" -- which is a giant p.i.a. to replace.
U-Tube has videos on how to find vacuum leaks -- and also how to replace the B.D.A.Motor.

you must replace the little o-rings inside the EATC unit. search youtube for that.
you also have a bad blend door actuator, it is a pain to replace but do-able through the passenger side airbag, also refer to youtube for that.

In GM 2010, the capacitor often becomes unusable. Dirt clogs the honeycomb, reducing the air conditioner's efficiency, which is increasingly reluctant to regulate the temperature. Over time, the metal rot under the dirty crust, and the part turns into a non-working one. Contamination of the radiator leads to overheating. The first sign that it's time to go to the car wash is the spontaneous shutdown of the air conditioner when driving in urban congestion. The problem disappears at speed. Therefore, if you decide to wash the condenser yourself, then if the dirt crust is dense, first soften it with a special radiator cleaner.
