Air suspension switch

How do i tell if i have air suspension the repair manual says the switch is in the trunk but i can only find fuel shut off can any body help? I have 96 Grand Marquis LS 4.6L

forgot to mention I was just changing the brakes pads does this really need to be switchedoff?

If you have an air suspension it needs to be switched off every time you jack it up. The air suspension shut off switch is under a plastic panel and is clearly marked.....so you probably don''t have it.

Of course the sure fire way to tell is look under the car. It''s pretty easy to tell the difference between a spring and an airbag.

these cars come equipped with two different systems airbag or air shock its to dark right now to look but thanks for the adviceEdited by: Jason78

where exactly is the plastic panel in the trunk so i can have a better look mabye i overlooked somwhere

I found the location of the switch in the owners manual its on the passenger side in the trunk near jack mine does not have this switch thamks for info
