Battery and LCM issues
I have a 2003 Grand Marquis. It developed the common headlight issue cause by a bad LCM, so I got that replaced. Since it got replaced, I've been having issues with it draining the battery when its powered off. It would pull 210 milliamps for a few minutes after the car was shut off, and then that would jump to 2.4 amps. I pulled fuses until the amperage dropped back to the lower amperage. The fuse that needed pulled was fuse 23, which controls the instrument panel, air conditioning computer, clock, the LCM and a few other things. I know the problem is not my LCM, as I have replaced it a few times. I was able to decrease that load a bit by removing a light that would come on when the current spiked. That was about 300 milliamps.
Does anyone have any idea what I might need to change? Perhaps even more helpful, does anyone have a wiring diargram for the dashboard and steering column, specifically all of the connections that come off of fuse 23?
Any help anyone can give would be incredibly helpful.
