these alts do have internal regs. if you take the alt off you can get the reg out, (only 2 torx bolts). autozone sells the reg. it is a electronic device, so you really cant tell if its bad by looking at it. and with all the time you put into this so far, $20 might fix your problem for good. at the very leastisolate one issue.

 

Thanks cpettymore777, I have been told that it may be the regulator in the alternator. I do know that when it comes on I actually am overcharging the battery. I think I will go to Auto Zone and pick up a regulator and install it soon and see.


I also have another problem that occured a few months ago. The door locks, key pad, and autowindow down system does not work anymore.I checked the circuit breaker and it is good, I even replaceditto be sure. Is there an inline fuse somewhere I can check?
