Smile Car turns over but won't start

Sorry but I'm re-posting due to no response in New Member Area.
I have a 1997 Grand Marquis, V8 engine my sons drive. They have ran it on low fuel so much now it won't start just turns over. I think bad gas maybe a problem too.
Just need some advice what I can do to get it back running. Never had starting problem before today. Tyvm and Have a great day! It is my birthday after all. I'm waiting for a reply please. Tyvm!

my 99 is doing the same thing...the midas guy wasn't getting any spark in the distributer so he replaced computer with a junk yard one.....it got spark but it didn't start.....then he replaced the fuel pump(which was bad). he ordered another computer but if this don't do the trick....i have to have it towed to a mercury dealer (i hate mechanics who can't fix cars). one day out of the blue it just don't start. for three days it didn't start. on the fourth it started like there was no problem. ran for a day or so....stopped starting.

Default Check the fuel pump relay.

One other thing to check is the fuel pump relay. I know '88 has a fuel pump relay so probably '97s & '99 also have them also. I had a car that we tried about 4 fixes on until I replaced the relay!

i believe that the improper tires are installed on your vehicle causing it not to start.
