Unhappy injectors

1992 mercury grand marquis injector resistance specification in ohms ? To many sites with to many different answers ..... need help from those who know . My GM injectors are reading from 9.0- to 8.7 and the shop manual is useless . Thanks in advance

Injectors are very reliable. Without knowing an exact resistance spec, I would look for an odd ball reading from an injector which is very different from the rest. You are not going to have a handful of bad injectors but a single one would be most likely. Minor differences are not going to prevent an injector from functioning but one having an open coil will not function at all.So I would pay more attention for that.

Resistance specifications for the '92 - '97 Panther engine Fuel Injectors:
Eleven (11) to Eighteen (18) Ohms --
SOURCE= Official FOMOCO Maintenance Manual (Factory Shop Manual).
NOTE:
The early stock injectors have a large metal body that acts as a Heat Sink and causes overheated fuel problems.
I replaced mine with a set of "rebuilt" Ford/Bosch fuel injectors from the '98- up engines. Perfect fit and E-Z installation. Over 100,000 trouble-free miles with the updated injectors -- and they WORK !!
