Default new here

i was goin to post this in the new guy thread but im really partial to the grand marquis. well now any ways i got a 86ls as a loaner from a dealer and ended up wrecking it(never driver drive drunk). bent the k members but i loved the ride so when i saw a 85 for 650 50 miles from me i jumped on it. ended up paying 545 for it and have started working on it everyday since. its kinda hard with my schedule(i work on 18 wheelers for a living) but every waking moment im on it. i have learned to love the marquis and especially the 302. its a mustang motor in a HUGE car and i love the laughs i get when i pull up to a light mainly cause i know i can beat half the cars that step up to me. right now im rebuilding the wrecked cars motor, stroke to 347; 351 steeda heads; 351 intake with demon racing carb; new cam and all in the stroker kit plus short ram air intake(i hate cold air cause of the rain). but first on the 85 is gabriel coil over shocks then sway bars, because whats the point of a big motor if you cant handle it? this is my plan:

rebuild the suspension

rebuild rear end with steeda parts

t56 trans (i think thats right i haven't built fords yet this is the first but 6-speed)

then drop the built motor

then paint

i'm looking for any tips but please nobody say its a mercury i know but stang motor parts and tranny fit perfect. if this needs to be moved thats fine just point me there
