New Radio, little bass
#12
Update: My study found this related to your "little" bass issue:
The upper level radio systems (so called "Premium Sound System) used inFord/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles have factory installed subwoofers. In such vehicles, the mid & high pitched sounds are directed to the regular speakers.
The low bass sounds are directed to the factory subwoofer.
This explains your issues.
Greetings!

Yes, that would explain the little bass. I am still not happy with it that way. I do plan to take to my dealer next week and get their opinion too. The single cd does have more bass out of the four speakers which I really like, but no sub bass. Just wonder if the sub bass can be turned on in the single cd, hummm?
My wife has a 2005 Mountaineer with the high end sound system and it has plenty of bass out of the four speakers and the sub too. That's why I question this new radio.
Thanks for your info 92mercury.
