Default No Power to Radio

Hello.

I have a 2001 Grand Marquis with stock radio/cassette player. Two weeks ago the radio just stopped working as it got no power. i figured it must be a fuse. I replaced the fuse (#13 per manual) with new 5A fuse but no luck. (Actually tried two new fuses in case one was bad but no luck)

Next, I figured it must be the radio thats dead so I replaced the radio with brand new one. New radio still gets NO power. Is there some other fuse or component that would keep power from getting to the radio besides what the owners manual points at as the radio fuse?

I'm not a mechanic and am not able to understand those electrical circuit diagrams.

Hello Paul!

Have you tried checking the radiator or maybe even the exhaust? That seemed to help me, if not it maybe fuse number 13.

sigh. thank you for the thoughtful reply. (okay, fuse 13 is the radio fuse as noted in the owners manual).
