Hey fellas, thanks in advance for your help.


I recently bought a 95 Marquis with 61k miles and it was only on the second day that I observed that the trip meter and odometer is not registering miles. The cruise control is also not working. When the car arrived by truck to me, the engine top had squirrel walnuts which I had to remove.


I read online and got varying responses on how to fix my problem, but there was not mention of the cruise control not working along with the trip and odometer. People have said to replace the VSS or the plastic gears in the speedometer.


How can I diagnose my issue ?
