2002 Mountaineer w/ auto climate temp issue

2002 Mountaineer w/ auto climate temp issue

I just replaced the stock stereo, in doing so I had to remove the center console. Now when I started the truck the temp says -40 f when it is closer to 80 f outside...

Any ideas for a fix??

Where is the outside temp gauge located? You obviously came in contact with some part of that system.

or disconnected the sensor harness.
