Exclamation Adding subwoofers, is the charging system strong enough?

I'm getting 2 MTX TS8512-22 woofers and a 1000w-1500w rms @ 2 ohms monoblock amp, I was wondering if my 2003 Mountaineer will have a strong enough charging system, if not, what should I do?

it should be fine. if you hook it up and at night your lights dim out any, just put one of those power capacitors in series to the amp. I'm running a 750W amp driving stereo 10s in the trunk of my 88 MGM and it doesn't even phase my lights when I crank it hard.

now if you were to do something like 3-5000 watts... you'd definitely have to get a deep cycle battery and aftermarket alternator.
