Clicking in wheel

Default Clicking in wheel

I have a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer that has a clicking noise that sounds like its coming from my back wheels. I have changed my back brakes and checked all around. It only happens when i slow down at a stop sign or just turning a corner. A friend of mines has the same clicking noise on his Ford Explorer. Is this a common problem with these vehicles? And what could this be?

Most likely, it's a short. Follow the wiring up the steering column to the fuse box. Check the connection to your dash control light switch and check your leads from the brake pedal to the firewall. It's probably inside the car rather than in the leads going to the back.

Check the emergency brake. It may be broken. I had to replace mine on a 2004

As far as checking the emergency brake, how do you do that?
