help 97 mountaineer has door ajar light on keeps lights inside on won't go off even though the doors are shut!

it sounds like the button of sorts that lets the vehicle know that the doors are closed is bad. the problem is finding out which one..

SPRAY WD-40 IN THE DOOR LATCH CATCHES ON THE CAR BODY. MY 1997 SABLE DID THE THE SAME AND THAT DID THE TRICK. GOOD LUCK!

Check the post in ( Sable )-door ajar/auto locks.
