where is the fuel filter on a 2004 mountie? i have looked along the frame, in the back near the fuel tank, and anywhere else i could think of. does anyone know where this part is. i am experiencing random shut downs while driving down the road.

thanks

Without any guarantee, since you didn't state any specs (2wd/4wd, 6 or 8 cylinder, etc. etc.):

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=555>

<TD height=25>On your2004 Mercury Truck Mountaineer 4WD 4.0L EFI , the Fuel Filter is located:</TD></TR>

<TD colSpan=2 height=10></TD></TR>
<TR>
<TD></TD>
<TD>Under hood, driver side, rear engine area, driver side of master cylinder, mounted in fuel line</TD></TR></T></TABLE>
