Default Seat cushion

I have a 2003 Mountaineer with the leather heated seats. The padding on the perforated leather insert on the seat bottom is so worn that it makes for an uncomfortable ride on a long road trip. I've seen the aftermarket removable seat cushions, but I was wondering if anyone has seen cushions that could be inserted underneath the cover for a more permanent solution, and ones that wouldn't damage - or be damaged by - the heating elements from the seat heaters.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Shawn

that would probably take going to an upholstery shop and letting them replace the padding. that is unless you can find one in a junk yard and can get just the pad out without having to get the entire seat. I've never seen inserts for any seats.
