i spent a few hours finding the security module on my 2002 Mountaineer . Mine has the 3rd row seat. the module is located behind the rear passenger door underneath the trim cover where the rear seat shoulder strap cover is. It has a bar code and under that bar is a 5 digit code..( the factory keyless code for the vehicle) Unfortunately the code did not work..i was very surprised at this. the keypad does not light up but it does seem to have power at least if i press the 7/8-9/0 buttons together it does lock the doors...so i wonder what could be wrong. i bought the vehicle used and have no info on keyless codes..the dealer charges to re program so i though i would try to do it myself.
