Default Car turns over but won't start

Hi, I have a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis, 4.6L that my boys use. They drove all the gas out and didn't call me for help. Instead they used gas from a can from one of their friends. I think this was bad gas. Never had starting problems before today. Car turns over but won't start. I took the air filter out and beat the dust out of it, added regular water to radiator and battery, added transmission fluid. Headlights work, radio works.

What advice do you have for this problem? Does this car have a distributor cap or valve in it? I don't have an Owners manual since it was used when I bought it. Should I have someone drain out the gas? Please Help! All alone with problems on my birthday. Tyvm!

Also does this car have a carburetor? If so, where is it located?
