i recently inherited the body to a 1947 mercury monarch and was curious the value of it. everything is there chrome trim and all, typical barn find condition though. there is pitting in the chrome and what not...how much should i be asking for such a thing

 

Someting like that is basically worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Myself, I wouldn't take it if it were offered to me but someone might pay a good price for it.
