Hi everyone. I just registered to this forum...I'm in Chicago and I've owned a few Mercury's before - 91 & 95 Sable SW ( loved them both..) Since 04 I own 02 Mountaineer V8 . Bought the car used from dealership - it was factory buy-back ( lemon?) from the previous owner.. some tranny issues. According to the dealer story - it was fixed and thus on the market.. [img]smileys/smiley17.gif[/img]. Was little skeptical, but dealership thrown additional warranty for a year ( car had 35K already) plus offered extended one - the same as for the new car..in addition the tranny warranty was extended by Ford to 100K [img]smileys/smiley4.gif[/img]... All in all I've been very happy with the car, It has 75K right now and is running well...it has a few minor issues ( about which I will post later) - so i was a great buy for me.. Sorry for the long post - will keep shorter in the future..
