do you mean the actual button in the door frame?

The sable door ajar switch is part of your door latch. At times you can purchase them seperately if they can be seperated from the latch. With patience and time it is something you can attempt yourself.

The guys in the Ford forum say that if the light stays on you can sometimes fix it by spraying the lock mechanism with penetrating oil to loosen up the contact.

Maybe WD-40 or PB Blaster?
