I have a 02 sable gs. I ordered a keyless remote. Can anyone tell me how to program the remote so I do not have to go and pay a dealer to do it?

Thanks

I can't. I always assumed it couldn't be done yourself, but talked to a locksmith yesterday and now that I know what they charge ($45) I guess I'm interested, too. Let us know if you find something out.

I programed my 02 sable and it is very easy. Sit in car and put key in key in the car ( like you were going to start it ). Turn the key from off to run 8 times in 10 seconds, ending with the key in run,. The car locks should lock and then unlock. That means it is ready to program. Then take your keyless remote and press lock or unlock. If the remote locks or unlocks turn key off and it should work.
