Is is possible to remove the governor on a 89 Sable GS? If so,where would I find it and what would it look like. I would like to remove it but I'm not sure where it is, what it looks like, and if the car needs it or not. Help would be apreciated.

I heard from several people that it helps boost power and gains more mpg...but after some extensive research I have found that if you remove it, your tranny won't shift right, so I'm leaving it.
