Default Replacing a rear Strut

Alright I just finished replacing the right rear strut on my 97 Tracer after the spring and mounting flange rusted through and broke. While I was taking it apart I mushroomed the tips of the two large bolts that hold the bottom of the strut to the hub, so I had to replace them. I called the dealership and was informed that that bolt (only 12 years old lol) had been discontinued and that I couldn't get it anymore. The bolt itself appeared to be metric, exactly in between 7/16 and 1/2 diameter. So I figure they were a metric diameter. I finally used the 7/16 which was just a hair too small. It seems to have held up so far. My question is, where would I find the original bolts if the ones I have in there do break?

if you still have one of the original bolts, you might find one you can use at a hardware store.
