Evening all, I am recently the proud owner of a 2002 grand marquis with the 4.6 liter engine...with a problem, I was told that the car sat for a month or two and now it turns over ok but does not start, I got a bit of gas and poured it down the (throttle body), car started ran a few then stopped..I checked the gas gauge and it said it was half full, I poured a gallon of gas into the tank and it went up to full?????, I then put a bit more in the (throttle body) it ran again for a few then stopped again....I was going to check the fuse for the fuel pump, but the car came with out a manual....I did pull the pump relay and swapped it out...still no luck, my thoughts, the fuse or the pump????
Any help would be appreciated

Did you check the fuel pump reset in the trunk? There's a switch there that shuts the fuel pump off in the case of a collision. Mine has a label by it.

You should be able to hear the pump run for a couple of seconds when you first turn on the ignition switch before turning it all the way to the start position. Make sure the radio and fan etc. are off before turning the switch on, so that you can hear it.

Good Luck!
