2008 Grand Marquis A/C...NO A/C
Some background....Car has 8,602 original miles on it. Hand me down from Mother who had to hang up her keys at 94 yoa. Got in car, outside temp abt. 88*. Turned on A/C and NOTHING but Hot Air. Tried different settings and no change. I have noticed that over the past 2 years or so that some of the blend doors would slam shut when I would cut the car off.
I see no leaks or evidence of coolant/refrigerant on any connections under the hood. A/C Compressor is dry.....Do I have a faulty blend door actuator or what....?

Check and see if your compressor is running. If not, you likely have a leak and lost your charge of refridgerant. The system is designed to do that on a low charge. If you lost your charge you should consult with a good a/c shop to fix the leak first, purge the sytem and recharge the system, otherwise you are wasting your time. If it is running, see if the accumulator(cylinder) near firewall is cold. Then check the lines entering the firewall, they should be equally cold.If so, then you likely have a blend door issue.
