Listen, you don't need to run a set of headers if you don't want to. You will still get a louder, deeper exhaust note without installing headers on a car that was never meant to have them.(Hence the reason they don't make a pair for it)Trying to put a set of headers on your car is going to be nothing but a header-ache. LOL! Say you snap a manifold bolt. VERY NASTY fix trying to tap that out when you have no room to work to begin with. Notice C.V. 87 has stock manifolds. You started off with a headlight upgrade. Keep it simple if that was your intent. There are numerous ways to get more juice out of your engine. And even more mods to make it look, sound, and handle better that are more practical, cost worthy and just plain easier. Just my opinion, of course I would say different if the engine was not in the car.

easy guys... 87' if u want see what u can find... i just cant find anything...i think ill probably just do the exaust how i planned... when u get dual exaust they only do it from the cat back right... so then im pretty much just doing my own dual exaust... why will it crackle?? ive heard plenty of VIC's with duals that sound pretty good... no crackle just rumble... i just wont have 3" tips comin out the back... how it is now i just cut the muffler off and put a turn down tip on it... it dosent sound 2 bad but it does crackle when i rev it...so if its cut before the Y pipe and mufflers put on both sides i hope itll sound ok??

you could go from the cat back, but i highly recommend a H pipe or X pipe in there to balance the exhaust.
