I bought a used Grand Marquis LS 1997 used car Made in Canada. It is fully automatic with digital odometer. It is run 285000 km. I found that it is showing in yellow" check engine" and in green "check air suspension".
What does that mean and what to do?

I shall be thankful to you.

check engine means there''s a problem with one of the sensors or the sensor readings in the engine. if you can find out what the code is that the engine computer has, then we can narrow it down.

The air suspension may have the same thing. or it could be turned off. Download the manual and check it out to see where that switch is and make sure the system is on. if it is already on, then you may have to service it.

the check engine light can be numerous different things from dpfe sensors to egr to seat belt sensors. Check it out and let me know, I will check out the professional technician society''s website and let you know what the code is. As far as the air bag suspension.. check in the trunk. there should be a switch on the driver side. If its off, turn it on.. if its on.. and you still have a problem... then there might be something wrong with the solenoids. Let me know.. Ill check it out for you

Thanks slymer and shonlo503 for your support.
This is the first time I am using automatic Murcury Grand Marquis. I don''''t know the code. Also the authorised dealer of this type of cars is away from me.. It will take some time for me to go to that place.

I shall be thankful if you tell me an easy way if I can fix anything here. What maintenance do I need? etc etc.

I shall be thankful to you.
