Hello everyone i need help i own a 97 mountaineer with the 5.0 motor and it only has 70,000 miles on it,i am having major motor problems, the truck is cutting out it kinda feels like it is running out of gas everytime i hit the gas pedal she dosent wanna go it just cuts out like there no gas in it .and i have tried everything i have changed plugs,new spark boxes and new fuel filter and its still doing it.if i drive it down he road going 30 and try and give it some more gas it acts like it wants to stall out,can anyone help me please????[img]smileys/smiley6.gif[/img]

 

Welcome to mercury forum. Please ask questions in the general tech section or the moutaineer section. But since your here. Have you checked your fuel pressure you could be losing pressure or just not getting enough pressure as there is more demand when going higher speeds
