i just got a 93. granny owned, garage kept, the whole 9 yards.
yesturday the windows all worked, all power. today, i go to roll the rear left window down, and i hear the clicking sound of the motor, but the window doesnt move. i tried pushing the window down while pressing the button down, and it still didnt work. it did move maybe a centemeter from my pushing it down.
any ideas?

"the clicking sound of the motor", it is not suppose to do that, sounds like the motor is bad.
But, first we have to think about what could happen, the clicking might come from the overheat protection inside the motor.
It could very well be that just the gear is bad (use the SEARCH function and look at my reply to a similar topic). There are 3 little plastic ***** inside the gear housing, mine were broken and stuck the gear.

It might be the window regulator,I have raplaced three of them in my 97 Grand Marquis, you could buy them at auto parts stores for about $40.00.You will have to pull the door panel and window seals in order to get it out of the door, you will also have to drill out two rivets that attach the windowto the regulator, when taking out the door panel remove the screws and pull the panel up.
