Was wondering if there is some thing that can be done, outside of general maintenence, than can improve the mpg''s???

tweek the ecm??? & or shift points?? better plugs??

really kinda disappointed that a DOHC 4cylinder can''thit 30mpgs more regularly without going on a 200 mile trip.

A buddy at work got a toyota camery with a 4cylinder, bigger car than the Milan and he has been getting 33-37 on everyday driving.

Now I''m sure that we can''t get 37mpgs no matter what, just being realistic....but should be able to get29-31 without being supper soft on the right pedal and driving in the blue hair lane either.

thanks in advance

if you totally build up the engine with performance parts so that is has more power and still drive it easy, then yes, you can get better mileage out of it. But without really spending some money on it, you can't do much with those engines, they just aren't designed for the same mileage as the Toyota engines are.
