My 95 mystique overheats after driving for a few minutes and blows out cold air from the heater. Also it is hard to start upif at all.I changed the coolant fluid and and changed the thermostat because the heater problem was caused by the thermostat in my last car. anyone have any idea what the problem is here? thanks

Any luck with solving your overheating problem? My 1996 Mystique suddenly started overheating too. I change the thermostat (checked the old one as well - checked out AOK), put in new coolant, still overheats with cold air coming from the heater. I'll look into the water pump next...

Guess What - Water pump problems! - Water pump is fine from the outside (no leaks, etc.) but NOT from the inside. This 6 Cyl 2.5l 24VOHC Duratecengine uses a plastic impeller on the water pump & it sheered from the seat. Thus no coolant flow, no heat, engine overheating.Would sure love to find a metal replacement - start my search today...Edited by: DanL
