Default Hello, Winnipeg !!

Hello, Snoopydog, and welcome to the Mercury Forums --
This site has been high-jacked by foreign pimps -- there is nobody that will make them go away.
The Senior Posters just try to work around them. The pimps don't interfere with the Mercury people, but they are a huge PIA, none-the-less.
Mostly all of the "action" here is in the Grand Marquis section, so if you own a Grand Marquis, tell us about your ride --
and post some pixtures, if ya got 'em.

Default It's C-C-C-COLD Up There !!

Yo, Snoop !!
Sorry to hear that your low-miles '00 LS yielded to a snowbank -- I would have cried !!
Your "new" 2004 LS should be good for many more miles -- Good Luck !!
We're kind of direct opposites -- You live in the coldest city in North America, and I live in the hottest big city in the Western Hemisphere.
My primary concerns revolve around the elimination of HEAT, while yours would focus mainly around the fact that there is NO HEAT.
Do you run 0-W-20 Full (not a blend) Synthetic Motor Oil ? I would.
195-degree Thermostat ? It's a MUST. The "factory" thermostats are 190 and 192, and I found that the MOTORAD 195 brings the temp up faster and holds it steady, regardless of the ambient temp.
The gasket that comes with the MOTORAD 195 MUST be discarded -- the correct gasket is MotorCraft # RG-571, which goes ON TOP of the thermostat.
Most of the folks that come here are looking for more power and/or better fuel mileage -- and then there is the type that needs more NOISE
to convince themselves (and their ignorant friends) that noise = horsepower.
Anyways, bring your questions, suggestions, ideas, and comments -- and pix, too.
And drive carefully -- the life you save may owe me money !
