I have a recurring problem of all of my idiots lights come on and then when I next try to start my car I get nothing but clicks. One time I brought it in and they replaced the starter. Next time the alternator. I have an appointment for Monday as it has happened again. Any ideas out there of what the actual problem may be? I have had the vehicle in 5 times for the same problem.

sounds like it could have been a voltage regulator or bad filtering caps on the coil(s) causing noise and screwing up the electronics. Definitely an electrical problem. maybe even a wire going to the starter with a crack in the insulation.

 

Hey if you do ever read this, GET A NEW MECHANIC!!!! 5 times? You have a short or a bad ground. 5 times, sheeesh!
