Question to ''92 to ''92 owners:

According to the manual, the instrument cluster is supposed to have a "trunk ajar" warning light.

Well, I have my cluster out, and checked all the warning lights. I do not have this at all. As a matter of fact, I have one for the "Overdrive off", which is not even setup (no bulb opening). I have overdrive, according to the manual it is being "turned off" by switching the gear lever into "D".

So, anybody has this light (trunk ajar) seen in action?

Greetings!

my wife''s ''93 vic LX says no light

the OD off light only works if you have the push button to disable shifter like on my wife''s 93. sounds like you have the older AOD with the mechanical OD akin to what''s in my 88 MGM.

Nope, I got the 2nd generation transmission.

However, many parts were still used from older models. I found out that the heater/ac-control is identical to the ones from the ''90''s TownCars.

It''s one of those things where you might "suffer" from when manufacturer switched between models. Mine was built late 1991, I guess they used some "leftovers". LOL

Greetings!
