1995 sable dead spot is gas pedal??
OK, I figured my seat issue out but now I have another.
When I am driving car, it normally takes off like a rocket. It has the 3.8 with 70k original miles. After driving around for a few miles when I go to hit the gas to pass, the car doesn't go. It doesn't stall or misfire, it just hits a dead spot. If you then stop and take off very slow, you can get back up to speeds of like 55 and over. So far, I have done plugs, wires, cap, rotor, cleaned the EGR valve, cleaned the Idle Air Control Valve too. I also cleaned throttle body. The idling has improved somewhat but not as normal as I like. It never stalls. I was told there was a new fuel pump put in car and injector cleaning. I see a lot of Cobb webs on tank so not sure if the guy was BS'ing me or not.
So, any suggestions?
Thanks!

Sounds like a fuel delivery issue or spark. Double check all your work on the ignition. Not second guessing you, but things happen. Perhaps this PO put in a cheap/faulty/used/incorrect fuel pump, or maybe it is the filter. Possibly the timing. Not sure why it would have fallen out of time suddenly, but its free to check. Could also be a catalytic converter. Probably not at this mileage, but a maybe. If it is, you'll want to get it fixed or cut off ASAP. A bad cat will cause increased heat & pressure in the exhaust & can smoke your tranny due to the poor placement of the "y" pipe. Hope this helps.
