Hey guys new to the forums, I need to replace my lower intake manifold because I snapped a bolt in the ear where the thermostat sits. I was wondering if this is the same I have the 3.0 OHC V6, I was wondering if this is the same thing, looks like it is but I want to be 100% sure thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...4506.m20.l1116

 

IF you have the OHC v6 (also known as the Duratec 3.0) this is not the same thing... That one is for the OHV v6...

The 3.0 DOHC engine is Vin S.. Vin's 2 and U are both OHV engines.. (To verify check the 8th digit of your vin)

 

so there are two different OHC's? alirte so if my 8th digit matches on the vin then im good correct? thanks I will chick that out.

 

no cigar my 8th digit is a U. Any good sources where I could find one not having any luck at my local junk yards.

"I just looked it up in the hollander book it says they all use the same lower intake on 01-03 sable and taurus OHV engines. from what the book says it should work for you.

as long as it's an OHV and not DOHV. that seems to be the difference.

 

Sorry, I forgot to specify, Vin U and Vin2 are the same engine with different electronics for the flex fuel option.. These are both Overhead Valve Engines (OHV).. OHC woud be overhead cam...
