97 sable idle
generally yes, the idle should be the same. I think it should be around 800 to 1000 rpm IIRC (if I remember correctly). I may state the idle speed on the decal under the hood with the other engine specs on it (and belt diagram).
btw, it should run a little faster when cool for "warm-up". If it's already above 90F outside, it may not need to "warm up" first. Though if I remember, the sable/taurus engines didn't have much of a difference between the two states anyhow.
