Get the Handling Package Kit if you want better-than-stock handling.
Either kit will fit your Merc.
RockAuto has a Moog Kit for a good price.
I restored/modified the entire front suspension of the 95 MERC --
Springs, spring isolators, shocks, ball joints, hubs, control arms, tie rod ends, idler arm, and end links.
All suspension bushings were replaced with Energy Suspension Urethane Bushings.
All MOOG Problem-Solver greasable joints, lubed with LUCAS X-Tra Heavy-Duty grease.
The 95 MERC is set up for long-distance, high-speed cruising and frequent mountain driving.

Thanks for the response, I'm just having a hard time figuring out if my 2000 GM LS came with the handing package as apparently the control arms are different for the HHP version. I'm understanding what you are saying is that if I do the entire front kit I can use either . I think I have the HHP due to the dual factory exhaust but just want to verify before ordering parts.

The factory duals would indicate a Performance Package.
The factory dual exhausts are worth about 20 horsepower over the single exhaust, according to Ford.
I have no idea as to what is included in your Performance Package -- mebbe the differential gears are shorter.
The standard ratio is 2.73 : 1
5,000-lb. Trailer-Tow Package (no longer available) is 3.75: 1
